From b5c1710b99982b9b23b76591a4a2a305017f59fd Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Admin <1+admin@noreply.git.dcntrlized.org> Date: Mon, 19 Oct 2026 15:03:29 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] [fix](client): sign in with the email the hub identifies, not a username MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sign-in labels the single identity field 'Username', but `login()` sends it as `email` and dcntrlized-auth resolves accounts by the email column. Typing the username of a seeded account ('admin') therefore fails with 'invalid credentials' while the password is correct. The field is now labelled Email, with an email keyboard and a matching placeholder, in sign-in mode only — registration still has a separate username and email. --- src/screens/LoginScreen.tsx | 16 +++++++++++++--- 1 file changed, 13 insertions(+), 3 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/screens/LoginScreen.tsx b/src/screens/LoginScreen.tsx index 6a5248c..9167e48 100644 --- a/src/screens/LoginScreen.tsx +++ b/src/screens/LoginScreen.tsx @@ -72,14 +72,24 @@ export default function LoginScreen() { - + {/* Sign-in identifies the account by EMAIL: the auth hub's identity + is the email column, and `login()` sends this value as `email`. + Labelling it "Username" made the seeded accounts unusable — + typing the username from the seed file fails with "invalid + credentials" even though the password is right.
